In the main, it's the usual story – much more rom than com. That Awkward Moment fits in that awkward place between a wry, witty New York sitcom and a tired, tidy romantic comedy. There are a few nice moments, mainly connected with wisecracking Daniel for me, Teller – who is the same in the outtakes as in the actual film – is the only guy in the cast with a plausible knack for comedy. Starring: Zac Efron, Miles Teller, Michael B. So they're monogamously unfaithful to their friends, and also to the women, having concealed from them this "bro" oath. When Jason's relationship crumbles, his two best friends decide to show their solidarity by staying single until he's ready to get back in the game. Secretly though, each is falling in love: Jason with aspiring author Ellie ( Imogen Poots), Miles with musician Chelsea (Mackenzie Davis) and Mikey with his own wife, Vera (Jessica Lucas), from whom he had been separated. Its soundtrack contains contributions from synth pop acts including Crozet, Night Drive, and Strange Talk, as well as indie pop/rockers Black Apples and Strange Talk.
